MillerWhite receives 14th award for holiday cards
Winning tradition continues with Silver Addy for 2010 card
March 4, 2011
MillerWhite Marketing's 2010 holiday card was recognized with a Silver Addy at the Advertising Club of Indianapolis' Addy Award event on February 24. The interactive e-card, "Holiday Melodrama," which allows viewers to script portions of the story and watch the resulting silent movie, can be viewed at www.millerwhite.com/2010.
"Over the last 17 years, MillerWhite has won 14 awards for its holiday cards, and half of these have been Addys," said co-owner Bill White. "We're happy we could continue the tradition with our 2010 card."
The first MillerWhite holiday card to win an Addy was the 1994 "Staff Decorates a Tree" card. Other Addy-winning traditional paper cards were the 1995 "Click Greeting" and the 1996 "Staff Pulling the Sleigh." The popular 1998 "X-Mas-in-a-Tube," mailer won not only an Addy, but also a Communicator Crystal Award of Excellence and a Summit Creative Award.
By 2001, MillerWhite had converted its holiday greeting to an electronic card, and that year's "Gingerbread Recipe," was recognized with an Addy, as was the 2006 interactive greeting, "Snowball Fight."
The firm received additional creative awards for holiday cards created in 1997 ("Taking Flight" poster), 2004 ("Where Did I Park My Car" e-card) and 2007 ("MillerWhite, the Orchestra" e-card).
MillerWhite has been creating its own holiday greetings for clients, vendors and friends since it was established in 1980. All the cards are displayed on the firm's web site at www.millerwhite.com/companyhistory.html, where they help illustrate the history of the firm.
